The ALARP principle is at the heart of UK Health and Safety legislation. Given ongoing innovation in technology and processes, it is critical that the standards and methods used to demonstrate ALARP are constantly challenged.
Bringing together engineers, safety professionals, industry leaders and decision-makers, ALARP 2026 will explore key challenges in major accident risk management and share practical engineering examples of how ALARP principles are applied throughout design, operations, asset integrity and safety-critical decision-making.
This year’s event will also explore how AI and digital technologies are shaping major accident risk management, including the opportunities they bring alongside the inherent risks associated with automation, data quality, transparency and decision reliability in safety-critical environments.
